Wells of Life envisions a world where safe access to clean water is available to all people.

The vision of Wells of Life has never changed. We believe in a world where safe access to clean water is available to all people, and we are working hard to make this vision a reality.

This has been a remarkable year of growth, with the Wells of Life helping 1 million people gain safe access to clean water. We celebrate this major milestone, but we also recognize there are millions more who still need clean water.

Our model of community investment ensures our work is measurable, sustainable, and reproducible, guaranteeing that Wells of Life is in a position to bring lifesaving results to millions more in the years to come. Our dedicated in-country team of local Ugandans ensures our on-the-ground work is the highest level of quality, and our Healthy Village Program is transforming the sanitation and hygiene practices of entire communities, resulting in thousands of lives being transformed.

Our in-country staff and partnerships; use of permanent, best-in-class materials; and commitment to quality maintenance empowers Wells of Life to lead the charge toward a world where safe access to clean water is available to all people.

Water changes everything

By committing your support for clean water, you give time, opportunity, education, and empowerment. Since drilling the first well in 2010, the Wells of Life team made a commitment to reach one million people through clean water. Mercy is one of those one million people.

She is the mother of three small children, and her days used to be spent facing many challenges because of a lack of access to clean water. Mercy would walk about four kilometers (2.5 miles) every day to collect water, and often she would find that the source of the water had dried up.

Other times, her only choice for water is a contaminated source of dirty water, causing her children to become ill and miss school. Mercy described her life and her children’s future as hopeless and desperate.

Since receiving access to a water well, Mercy’s time is now spent growing her own small business instead of walking long distances to gather water. Her children are enrolled in school full-time and their attendance rate has increased by 89%.

Mercy’s family members, along with others in their village, are thriving, and she now describes their life as healthy and filled with hope! Every clean water well serves a community of up to 1000 people.

With your support, we can help more families like Mercy’s and end the water crisis for 1 million people now. We invite you to join us at Wells of Life as we invest in a future of hope and clean water. For more information, visit wellsoflife.org or call (855) 935-5763.
